The European Federation of social employers (FEDES) aims at promoting and defending the interests of European organisations managing structures supporting vulnerable and disabled persons, in their mission as employers, in the framework of articles 138 and 139 of the Treaty of the European Union .
Our objectives :
The core objective of FEDES is to get a framework for employers of supported sector in favour of high quality services for disabled and vulnerable people. This requires among other :
- to take into consideration the specificities of the working conditions in this sector in the European legislation relating to social policies,
- to define a framework for the inclusion of disabled and vulnerable people in the society and in the labour market.
Our actions :
FEDES aims at being considered in the European social dialogue as established by articles 138 and 139 of the Treaty of European Union. FEDES is active within the European social dialogue in the field of its sector of services for disabled and vulnerable people, in particular through its participation to the cross-industry dialogue with CEEP. FEDES participates to several actions :
- participation to the European negotiations (i.e. Framework agreement for inclusive labour markets)
- participation to CEEP's committees and to consultations launched by the European Commission
- contribution to actions of lobbying relating to social services and social economy, with the employers' point of view.
Our values :
FEDES gathers organisations sharing the same values of solidarity and defend high-quality services to support disabled and vulnerable people. We defend the concept of "life streaming" : the actors of the sector have to contribute to the success of each person's life project by adapting the support and the level of inclusion to the wishes and capacities of each individual.
